Stomasys & VMware Project

Southern Milling is the largest milling company in the south of Ireland. A specialist milling company which produces high performance compound Dairy, Beef, Sheep, Pig and Poultry feeds, at its manufacturing plant’s in Cork. Southern Milling has 5 sites located across Ireland with Sales Reps based across the Republic of Ireland.
They have been running an ERP system on an Alpha 1000 for the past 25 Years. The company were very happy with the ERP software system which has been constantly upgraded over the years to exactly meet Southern Milling business needs.
and staff were very comfortable with the ERP system so no training required.

Pain Points

 

  • Ageing Hardware where parts were becoming difficult to source. For the Alpha Server 1000
  • System Outages due to the Old Hardware.

FMC Hyper-V Implementation Project
FMC approached Westbourne IT Systems with a request for design and implementation services for their new Virtual Infrastructure based on Microsoft’s Hyper-V technology. This project covered both new server requirements and for the replacement of old and out of warrantee servers. The Project was fixed price and fixed cost, and was delivered on time and on budget.
